Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. She started her career in minor roles in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002) and She's the Man (2006). Later, she played the role of reporter Willa McPherson on FX's series Dirt. She also played a supporting part in FX's short-lived series The Ex List. She was Kaylee an infant Moira in the first season of FX's American Horror Story. She portrayed Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She is also the voice of many characters in the animated comedy series Family Guy. Since her appearance in 2019, she has been starring in the role of Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was a resident of Darien, Connecticut, until when she was 10 when she and her mother moved to California. They moved around for a year before settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge was 13 when she began taking an interest in photography, acting and singing. Breckenridge moved to Los Angeles with her mother when she was 15 years old, to pursue her acting career.
